Where the money went
Upcoming bills
Jobs in progress
Pending & scheduled jobs
Bank Register
Every deposit and every expense goes here β like a bank statement.
Pending Bills
Bills you know are coming. They're subtracted from your cash so you always see what's really available. Marking one paid moves it into the Bank Register automatically.
Jobs
Track pending, scheduled and in-progress jobs β and whether the deposit is in. Tag deposits & expenses to a job in the Bank Register and the In / Out / Net columns fill in automatically, so you can see whether each job actually made money.
Connections
Import transactions from a file works today
Almost every bank, QuickBooks, and SynkedUp can export transactions as a CSV file. Download one there, then import it here β no retyping.
Live connections bank via Plaid β ready
The bank connection works once your CashWeather Cloud server is deployed (one-time setup, see README-CLOUD.md) and its URL + passphrase are saved in Settings. Live tokens have to live on a server, never inside this app.
Settings
Starting balance is your bank balance on the "as of" date; everything in the register after that date is added/subtracted from it.
Data
Data is saved on this device (in this browser). Use "Back up data" regularly and keep the file somewhere safe.
Reminders & daily email
Bills due soon show as a banner on the Dashboard. With notifications on, you also get a pop-up when you open the app. The Daily Sheet tab has an βοΈ Email button addressed to whoever you set here.
CashWeather Cloud β phone β computer sync & bank connection
Keeps every device on the same data β changes from all devices merge automatically and powers the Plaid bank connection. Needs the included cloud-starter deployed once β see README-CLOUD.md, ~30 minutes, free. Anyone with the same URL + passphrase shares the data, so make the passphrase long.
About
CashWeather v1.2.0 β if two devices show different version numbers here, reload the page on the older one.
Install as an app
When CashWeather is hosted on the web (e.g. cashweather.com), you can install it like a normal app: on iPhone open it in Safari β Share β Add to Home Screen; on Android Chrome β menu β Install app. It then works offline with its own icon.
