Effective July 10, 2026
Your business data belongs to you. By default it never leaves your device. We don't run ads, we don't use analytics trackers, and we never sell data.
Everything you enter — transactions, bills, jobs, receipt photos, settings — is stored locally on your device in your browser's storage. It is not transmitted anywhere unless you turn on an optional feature below. Deleting the data in Settings, or clearing your browser data, removes it.
If you enable CashWeather Cloud sync, your app data is stored on the sync server so your other devices can retrieve it. The data is keyed by a one-way hash of your passphrase; the passphrase itself is never stored. Anyone who knows the server URL and your passphrase can read that data, so choose a long passphrase.
If you connect a bank account, the connection is made through Plaid. CashWeather receives transaction dates, descriptions, and amounts. The bank access token is stored on the cloud server, never on other users' devices and never in this app's code. We do not see or store your bank username or password — that goes directly to Plaid.
The "Email sheet" button opens your own mail app with a pre-written message. CashWeather does not send email itself and never sees the message.
Nothing. No accounts, no names, no analytics, no cookies beyond the app's own on-device storage.
CashWeather is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.
